Hydrogen produced by water electrolysis hydrogen generators is a clean fuel for vehicles, but storing hydrogen still faces many challenges. Researchers at the Materials and Coastal Research Center (Helzholtz-ZentrumGeesthacht, HZG) are developing hydrogen storage systems based on light metal hydrides. They published a new concept in the scientific journal “Natural Science Report”, through which they can achieve 5 times of hydrogenation speed under 180 ℃.
